DME Standard and Grievance Process Summary
Delta provides DME products to patients in the emergency room, surgery and outpatient medical and rehabilitation clinics.
Orders are filled from its own inventory or fabricated for custom fitting per your prescribing physician, DME distributer or fabricator.
Advises any beneficiary that he or she may purchase inexpensive or routinely purchased DME. Most supplies provided are for purchase only.
DME products which are fitted and or custom for patients have a duration and frequency of use. This information must be prescribed per the DME fabricator or distributer. If a DME item causes pain, circulation change and or skin breakdown it is important to contact your primary physician and or our DME representative listed below.
Notifies beneficiaries of warranty coverage and shall honor all warranties under Colorado law. Delta Health will repair or replace free of charge Medicare covered items that are under warranty. If the patient was provided a custom orthosis they will be directed to the therapist/fabricator who created said equipment. It will be then the therapist’s discretion as to if the custom equipment can be fixed, modified, or replaced.

Delta Health answers all questions and responds to complaints and maintains documentation of such contacts. The clinics and hospital utilize the hospital compliant processes to resolve any complaints patients may have regarding DME equipment. Such grievances are tracked at the hospital level.
