Delta, CO (December 18, 2024) – Delta Health has welcomed Nicholas Colleran as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), a leadership move designed to enhance the organization’s strategic initiatives and operational performance.
“I am excited to welcome Nicholas Colleran, to the Delta Health team,” said Jonathan Cohee, MHA, OT, Chief Executive Officer for Delta Health. “Nick will be supporting our health system by overseeing all aspects of the operations; he has a strong healthcare background and will be a tremendous asset to our team.”
With 17 years of experience in healthcare, Colleran has developed broad expertise in hospital operations and practice management. His career began in a private practice clinic, which sparked his interest in healthcare and led him to pursue advanced degrees in the field.
“I am truly excited to join the team as the new COO of this incredible healthcare system, in Delta County,” said Colleran. “Together, we will continue to build on the foundation of excellence, compassion, and care that this community deserves. I look forward to working with each and every one of you as we continue to strive to make a positive impact, and improve the health and well-being of all Delta Health patients.”
Nick’s career progressed at a community healthcare system, where he rose to Vice President of Operations, overseeing multiple service lines and driving operational improvements. He later served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for a 180-bed hospital, managing budgets, capital projects, and service line optimization–achieving cost reductions and improving patient outcomes.
Nick is skilled in strategic planning, process improvement, and financial management with a proven ability to drive growth and enhance clinical performance. His passion has always been for community healthcare. Nick holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovation and operational excellence. He is also an actively engaged community member, having served on several boards and advisory committees.
Nick relocated to Delta with his wife Lauren, a kindergarten teacher, and their two children. Outside of work, Nick enjoys cooking, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his family.
