Delta, CO (November 5, 2024) – Starting Monday, November 4, Delta Health is partnering with a new radiology group, Inspire Radiology. This change will provide Delta Health and Delta Health patients with the quality radiology support patients deserve.
Inspire Radiology provides hospitals, healthcare systems, imaging centers and specialty practices with on-site radiologist and teleradiology services. They have board-certified, specialty-trained radiologists who are passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Delta Health’s previous provider of radiology services was experiencing severe staff shortages that created inconsistent radiology support such as providing timely exam readings, and timely on-site services.
“Inspire Radiology will provide in-house support 5 days per week and reading support 7 days a week, working in tandem with our own contracted provider, Dr. Charles Fowler,” said Kevin Fischer, MS, RRT, FAARC, Director of Radiology at Delta Health. “Inspire Radiology will also provide 24-hour teleradiology services, 365 days a year. This means that Delta Health’s staff, providers, and patients will have true radiology partners focused on quality patient care.”
With Inspire Radiology’s services, exams are read within 24 hours and STAT/critical exams will be read as quickly as 15 minutes. It also means the Delta Health team will have a radiology on-call 24 hours a day via phone to provide additional support. Inspire has a large team of specialty radiologists on staff meaning MRIs will be read by an MRI specialty radiologist, ultrasound scans will be read by ultrasound specialty radiologists, etc.
“Delta Health is committed to innovation and efficiency for our staff and patients, and partnering with Inspire Radiology ensures we do both of those things,” said Jonathan Cohee, MHA, OT, Chief Executive Officer for Delta Health. “Having our radiology partner means that we will provide the specialized support that our patients deserve.”
The Delta Health Radiology department provides a range of services including 3-D mammography, bone density scans, ultrasounds, x-rays, CT/MRI, PET/Nuclear Med scans, and more. With state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment, patients and providers receive the radiology support they need to make responsible, knowledgeable decisions about their health.
“Our department will continue to invest in new technologies, and partnerships such as Inspire Radiology, to provide our patients with the highest level of imaging services possible,” said Fischer.
