Delta, CO (April 16, 2022) – Delta Health announced today it is hosting a virtual town hall meeting on April 21 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the state of the hospital and the proposed 0.8% sales tax initiative that will be on the May 2022 ballot.
Matt Heyn, Delta Health CEO and other members of the Delta County Memorial Hospital Special District Board will be presenting and answering community questions. Delta Health is asking for all questions to be submitted prior to the meeting to Jacqueline Davis, the Delta Health Public Information Officer by emailing [email protected].
Community members can join the town hall via zoom link and Facebook Live. The Zoom link will be posted on social media platforms and on the Delta Health website under the News section.
”A virtual town hall meeting is a valuable way for our community to get clarification and a greater understanding of this sales tax initiative and the state of the hospital, ” said Heyn. “We are looking forward to answering community questions and providing another layer of transparency from the hospital and Board.”
During the February 28, 2022 Board of Directors Meeting, the Delta County Memorial Hospital Special District Board voted to place a 0.8% sales tax initiative with an 8-year sunset provision on the May 2022 ballot. The initiative would take effect on July 1, 2022.
Delta County Memorial Hospital, doing business as (dba) Delta Health, is a special district hospital with a County elected board. All County taxes the hospital receives by law must be brought to the Delta County voters for approval.
