Delta Health Postpones 2020 Health Fair

Aug 18, 2020News

Delta, CO (August 17, 2020) – Delta Health (Delta Health) announced today the postponement of their Fall 2020 Health Fairs until 2021 due to the pandemic. This year’s health fairs and early blood draw days were scheduled to run in October and November.

“Our top priority remains the health and well-being of our patients, staff and our community members,” said Matt Heyn, CEO for Delta Health. “This decision comes after thoughtful deliberation by the Delta Health Administration and Medical Staff teams. Although this year’s health fairs have been postponed, our hospital and clinics remain open and safe.”

Multiple protocols have been implemented at Delta Health and its clinics to ensure the safety of community members when receiving care. There are verbal screenings conducted upon entry, visitor restrictions, social distanced lobbies and waiting rooms, masks and face coverings being worn, sanitization stations and more.

Telehealth options have also been expanded and are available at all Delta Health Primary Care Clinics; giving patients the option to connect virtually with their providers and care team.

“Prevention is an important step in your health care journey; so please, don’t delay care,” said Heyn. “We know that times are uncertain, but we are not done caring and we are committed to providing you with the care that you need, from people you can trust, close to home.”
