Delta Health Grand Mesa Oncology Center Presents an Introduction to Integrative Cancer Care
March 12, 2018 – Delta Health Grand Mesa Oncology Center Presents an Introduction to Integrative Cancer Care featuring Helen Goldberg, M.D. and Abigail Seaver, R.N.D. (Registered Naturopathic Doctor) on Saturday, March 31, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Mesa Oncology building located just north of Delta Health. Coffee and baked goods will be provided by Doghouse Espresso and the class is free to attend.
Doctors Goldberg and Seaver are partnering to inform the public about the benefits of integrative cancer care. The term integrative medicine is used frequently, often with little explanation of what a patient should expect, especially, in regards to cancer care. In this seminar, they will highlight and explain some modalities that can help you heal and improve your overall health. The speakers have extensive experience in integrative medicine.
Before joining Grand Mesa Oncology in 2016, Dr. Goldberg had been in practice 20 years in San Antonio, Texas, two years in Boulder, Colorado, and six years as a registered oncology nurse. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Goldberg is certified through the American Board of Medical Oncology and completed a fellowship at Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She is an active member of the Association of Naturopathic Oncology, the American Society of Integrative Oncology and the American Herbal Council.
Abigail Seaver is a Naturopathic Doctor who has been practicing Family Medicine in Ridgway for the past 12 years and recently joined Delta Health Family Medicine in Delta one day a month. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Hamilton College in New York and her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. She uses a holistic approach to prevent and treat disease and promote wellness in her patients including therapies such as Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, and Homeopathy.
The workshop is open to all community members. The Grand Mesa Oncology Building is located just north of Delta Health and there will be signage directing guests to the classrooms. Delta Health, a 49-bed non-profit hospital, seeks to be the vital force driving the ongoing improvement of our community’s health and well-being.
