DELTA, CO — (June 30, 2026) — Delta Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Evan Bachman to its Adult Primary Care team, effective July 13, 2026.
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Bachman most recently practiced while living in Maine before making the move to western Colorado. “I was born and raised in Michigan but most recently have been living in Maine,” said Dr. Bachman. “I always knew that someday I wanted to move west and, after thinking hard about where that might be, quickly fell in love with the Western Slope of Colorado. I was drawn to Delta County in particular because of its strong sense of community, access to varied landscapes, and beautiful weather.”
Bachman earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula before attending Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. While in medical school, he earned a certificate in Rural Community Health, reflecting his passion for serving smaller communities. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Bachman’s decision to pursue primary care was rooted in his belief that meaningful relationships are at the heart of quality healthcare, Delta Health’s commitment to its patients and community made joining the organization an easy decision.
“I learned firsthand the unique needs and opportunities of practicing medicine in rural communities,” he said. “I also learned that, in rural communities in particular, the strength and health of a community directly impacts individual health outcomes and deserves to be a primary focus of our work in healthcare.”
As he begins caring for patients at Delta Health Adult Primary Care in July, Dr. Bachman is eager to become part of both the healthcare team and the broader Delta County community.
Outside the clinic, Bachman enjoys spending time outdoors. His favorite activities include mountain biking, skiing, and fly fishing—making Colorado’s Western Slope a perfect place to call home.
